Our Programs

These introductory programs are an opportunity for elementary school participants to try new things, get excited, and build comfort in the outdoors from a young age. They also serve as needed childcare for working families, and give kids a chance to get active and off of screens.

Activate programs include: learn-to-ski lessons, Nordic skiing, after-school programs, swim lessons, spring break programs, and summer camps.

Programs for middle schoolers offer opportunities to build skills and challenge themselves while connecting with peers and mentors.

Engage programs include: ski mentoring programs, backcountry ski club, after-school programs, spring break trips, backpacking-based summer camp, and special clubs for climbing, mountain biking, and kayaking.

Mentorship programs for our older participants provide them with the tools and confidence to pursue their dreams in life after high school.

Empower programs include: ski mentorship programs, spring break college trips, professional development workshops, and an internship program working with local outdoor industry partners.

Coombs Outdoors is proud to support Camina Conmigo ("Walk with Me") in providing outdoor recreation opportunities for adults and families in Jackson's Latinx community. Camina Conmigo guides receive all the training and resources they need to feel comfortable leading groups in outdoor activities in summer and winter.
